I can't figure it out why a Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB receives an update error 0x80073712.

So far, I have tried
  • manually installing the latest cumulative update.
  • sfc /scannow (Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.)
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    • Error: 2 The system cannot find the file specified.
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:WIM:c:\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess - using the WIM from the same ISO as the original install
  • Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found.
  • ComponentsScanner -> 4 missing files

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

I tried windows updates again and now I am waiting for it to restart the machine! I am in shock!

Fingers crossed there's no issues with it.

PC Back online!

Thank you so much for your help!!!
