scansfc and DISM do not work.

Everything else is working fine.

My computer didn't go to sleep when I closed the lid. The battery ran off and the power down was sudden. When rebooting there was son error fixing performed by windows. I think it replaced these files with W7 files.

I can't even upgrade to windows 11...

I have so many programs installed that I do not want to go through a complete instalation.

Hope someone will be able to help.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download
56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi and a Happy New Year!

Please run the System File Checker as well and let me know the result.
Code:
SFC /Scannow

It reported errors. Corrected them. Ran Dism again.

Now no errors.

Windows Features are accessible now

It seems it is installing updates now!

I have donated a small contribution for the service provided.
Will report if installations work - shortly,.
