Windows 10 20H2 Unable to Update, Run SFC/DISM (Errors)...

Windows Update says my device is missing important security and quality fixes but when checking it returns that there were some problems installing updates and it'll try again later. It also gives 0x8024401c. This is Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows Update IS managed by the Active Directory/Domain/Enterprise, so I'm not overly worried about what Windows Update reports. I'd been applying cumulative updates manually for several months and got to 19042.630 without issue (November 2020). However, all cumulatives I've tried since fail (I'd hoped subsequent cumulatives would fare better, but no luck, right up to 19042.870). Now they go from 0% to 100% relatively quickly and report "Some updates were not installed."

Troubleshooting over the months has resulted in SFC/DISM reporting 582 errors, ILLEGAL_CHARACTER results in DISM/CBS logs, 0x800f081f errors as well as others (running SFC, DSIM /RestoreHealth, /Scan..., /Analyze..., etc.). I've been unable to track down the specifics of the corruption/errors. SFCFix (attached log) is a little odd in that it seems to run a DISM command that produces a 582 error and just sits until I press a key (I let it run for over an hour). After pressing the key it finishes running and reports no issues. CHKDSK /R is clean. I've also attached Farbar scan results (FRST/Addition) as it seems they are often necessary. I've created a local, administrative-level user to verify it's not the domain account profile causing problems (and this also gives me a better platform to troubleshoot from). I've also attached a zipped COMPONENTS file and DISM directory (realizing the DISM might ultimately be a duplicate of info in CBS).

Finally, I've tried in-place upgrades to the same/newer Windows version, but when they give me any options, they don't ever give me the option to keep my settings/files and I'm not in a position to start over clean on this computer. Which brings up a good point: operationally this computer does not have any issues (which is why it's taken me so long to get desperate enough to post here (if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?).

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Terry
