[Win7SP1Ult x64] Issues with Wacom drivers. Spwizimg.dll & W32UIRes.dll corrupted.

Hey all. I have a new install of windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I'm already moved into it with all my personal files.

The issue: I tried downloading and installing wacom's terrible drivers for my tablet and kept getting a certain "the application was unable to start correctly (oxc000007b) error with Professional_CPL.exe.
After going through plenty of steps troubleshooting, half of which I can't remember, I ran sfc /scannow and came up with a bunch of corrupted system files. It can't be fixed automatically and I'm not sure what to do with it. I tried the sfcfix program on this site and it was unable to fix the issue unfortunately. I included all the relevant files, and would love some help with this :c

Thanks regardless!

my cbs.zip wouldn't upload so I put it on my drive here CBS.zip - Google Drive

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Do you still need assistance? So we are meeting expectations I also wanted to let you know that I will be on vacation until May 10th. There are other helpers that may pick up the this thread but if they don't you can expect a response on the 10th or 11th at the latest.

Please let me know however if you still need assistance and I'll check back in at that time.

Thank you.

I do still need help ¥_¥

Since you peeps are offering free help I can't complain with how long it takes, so I'll be patient and I'm sure I will be helped at some point c:

I also made sure not to mess with any system files on my comp since then so as not to screw up any help I do get! As of right now I just can't use my tablet and my computer seems to have graphical driver issues which I think may be related but all in all it is survivable for the immediate future. Thanks for getting back to me!

Re: [Win7SP1Ult x64] Issues with Wacom drivers.Spwizimg.dll & W32UIRes.dll are corrup

Please start with the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Here you go! Thanks for getting back to me!

Also, it should be worth noting that a day or so ago I let it check disk on startup since I keep having huge startup issues and it seemed to have fixed the first issue with wacom drivers not working. The only thing now with that specific problem is it's not recognizing a tablet being installed, but I can fix that myself. Whenever I start my computer one of 3 things happens:

1. My computer fails to start up to a point where it shows any audio/video.
2. My computer starts, but seemingly doesn't utilize the nvidia drivers and so only uses my primary monitor with the safe-mode looking windows explorer taskbar.
3. It works great.

This is a brand new graphics card that performs perfectly and a new installation of nvidia drivers. Not sure if either could be faulty, but since I've been having system file issues leading to other driver issues maybe they are all connected? this may have been solved with your fix, I restarted my comp and it worked fine. I'll see if any issues reappear. Thanks for your help so far!

Alright, I included a link to the cbs.txt on my drive since it is over the max size for that file type on this site. Also, it seems my startup issues are not gone, and although I don't understand most of that log it seems the issues are not fully fixed :/

Thanks for your help so far!

Also, sorry to bother you with this but maybe you know off hand how I could fix this. It seems like I have an issue with plug and play on my computer as when I try and install device driver software automatically it fails and mentions that there are problems with pnp devices. I tried reinstalling my usb 3.0 drivers, general windows troubleshooting the usb controller device listing in "Device Manager -> Other Devices". Oddly enough my tablet now does show up under devices in "Devices and Printer", some progress at least. Not sure where I can go from here.

Here you go cbs.txt - Google Drive

Also, I was having huge issues starting up so I dismantled my computer and put it back together (mainly because my graphics card seemed to be having trouble staying fully in the board). I immediately had no trouble starting up after that so I figure it may have been the startup issue. If I'm right then that issue is solved, the card was made loose over time for some reason.
