Hi,
a recent update for KB3212646 fails. The download bar progresses until 11% and then abruptly breaks with error 80073712.
I tried to manually install the package after downloading
windows6.1-kb3212646-x64_a94cf69326099fb121cdd7daf9dfc558f740afb8.msu
from the MS catalogue.
Thanks for some advice.

2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take 15 minutes or more to run. Please don't cancel.
3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
4. Please attach the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired
them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
The system file repair changes will take effect after the next reboot.
C:\Windows\system32>

Good, after you reboot (if you haven't already), try the update again that was failing. If it does fail for some reason, please zip/attach the following log.
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

The update installed fine now.
However, two odd things:
1. CBS.log grew to 250MB (zipped 14MB, CBS.zip - Google Drive)
2. When I manually run "Check for updates" now, I get error 80244019. edit: worked after a while
