A bit of a noobie to windows 8
A friend has brought his laptop too me which he brought at christmas
when start screen loads its a plain blue screen with start on left acount picture top right
i bring the right hand bar up and click change pc settings with no response
ran malwarebytes and removed 89 issues
tried pc settings still no response
Tried running sfc / scannow
always fails at 14% - Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the cbs.log windir\logs\cbs\cbs.log For example.....Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.
tried running
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
i get error 23
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
Can anyone possibly help please
