Hello,

I am using Windows 7 x64 and i am getting many audio stuttering in non-ASIO usage. It is only affecting WDM windows audio (Spotify/Youtube/Soundcloud and not DAWs like Reaper or Ableton Live). I have been through a very long thread on Native Instruments site (Pops and clicks on a Windows 7 64 bit system | Page 2 | NI Support Forum) but neither the users nor NI support has come with any real solutions (SHAME on you NI!!!). I am using Komplete Audio 6 interface and it seems there is a problem with NIs non ASIO drivers. It seeme its mostly affecting Win 7 64 bit OSs - i have also seen many users with Asus mobos. I am still posting here as i have seen this very promising post - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...ues-with-wpa-windows-windows-vista-7-8-a.html. Maybe there are ways to resolve this issue without having to wait for NI to actually do something with their drivers... I have been able to limit the stuttering by adjusting the same sample rate processing under Komplete Audios preferences and Windows preferences (48kHz at 24bit). Still after few hours of working on my PC the stutters was coming back. I tried changing the USB ports/cables, disconnecting USB drives and basically all of the suggestions provided on the mentioned NI board thread. Nothing has worked 100%. One thing that has changed the things were to disable EIST and Turbo mode in BIOS as well as setting my windows performance settings to Max. the stuttering was gone but another problem appeared - frequent, short (0.5 or 1 second long) but complete audio stutters after few hours of work. I attach 3 xperf traces - CPU and CPU2 are those with the cutouts problem (sorry but i dont remember what was the difference in windows settings between the two) and trace it the one with stuttering audio (TURBO and EIST enabled). I am able to see clear peaks on the CPU traces but there are quite few (ka6, hal, ntoskrnl, wdf01000) drivers involved and i am not able to pinpoint the guilty one. By the way ka6 are the Komplete audio drivers. Are you able to help ?
