I installed by foolish IT, crytoprevent. then everything stopped. I have tried uopdate the drivers for ipv4 and IPV6 and the wired connection. All other devices in the home are working fine. Please can you help me.

Maybe you can use an uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller. Choose the free version. Once you rid yourself of this and if uninstalling doesn't fix your network, type these commands one by one in an elevated command prompt. Once they finish, reboot. To open an elevated command prompt, Hit start type cmd, then type CTRL + SHIFT + Enter netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset netcfg -d ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns netsh advfirewall reset If you want a comprehensive, peer/community reviewed anti-malware/virus/ransomware protection, check into Malwarebytes. I was looking at my bleeping computer blog and they had stated it was good for ransom ware protection. So, I tried it. Well, afterwards, all the trouble started. I will let you know.
