Hi,
I was updating the graphics driver to resolve a rendering issue with a software I was using. After the update I started having BSODs. I have tried reverting back to older versions but the BSOD still persist. I have tried the following versions.

AMD graphics driver:

15.5 Beta-- BSODs with bugcheck 0x1e
14.12 (Latest stable release)-- BSODs with bugcheck 0x1e and 0x116 (atikmpag.sys)
13.12-- BSODs with bugcheck 0x1e, sometimes the screen freezes and shows a message "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." after recovering.

I have used driver sweeper in between driver installations.

I have tried using Driver Verifier but the system BSODed before I can get to the desktop. (You can see them from the mini dumps.)

One of the BSOD came with a bugcheck 9f, indicating my external drive was at fault so I disconnected it.

I have updated my BIOS but the BSOD still persists.

Ran Memtest86+ for 5 passes last night with no errors.

I am running out of ideas, any help is appreciated. :)

Most likely your AMD display driver.
It's the Catalyst Control Centre working on a large stack.
The stack generates an exception, which performs the local unwind, the unwind didn't work, for whatever reason, thus the bugcheck.
In fact, this exact error seems quite consistent.
Atop of 0x116s. Best to try different driver versions.

A single 0x124 internal timer error won't tell us much, but given your other bugchecks, most likely a bad graphics card.

Hi, thanks for all of your help.
I was away from this computer for two months, and now finally have time to troubleshoot further.

Here is what I did since I came back to this computer:

1. Swapped out the GPU with a PowerColor 6870
The BSODs are still coming.

2.Updated AMD graphics driver to 15.7
Still BSODs.

3.Downgraded the driver to 13.12
Still BSODs.

Also I put the original GPU(R9-270) on another machine I had(i5-3450+ASUS P8H77V PRO) and it worked fine.

3. Swapped the RAM (4x4GB Kingston DDR3-1600) with a single 8GB Kingston DDR3-1600
Still BSODs.
The original RAMs work fine on my other machine with no problems.

Also I have attached new minidumps and performance reports.

Appreciating any help/suggestions in advance.

Also I'm seeing that my graphic cards are running in PCIE 2.0 x2 mode, while it should be running in x16 mode.
Both GPU-Z and AMD CCC are reporting the same.
Maybe a faulty motherboard?

The BSODs are still coming.
Thinking about sending the motherboard in for RMA but I'm afraid ASUS won't be able to reproduce the problems.

Any suggestions?

Sorry for the delay in response. Could you please upload a freshly generated ZIP file so that I could analyse them?

Hi:

Fresh dump files have been uploaded.

Also, I know some of the 0x9F BSODs were most likely caused by my external hard drive.
I already bought a new drive, but copying files when the computer might BSOD at anytime isn't really an option.

Thanks in advance for your help.
