Just curious how many have played with "Waterfox Current" browser. I have been running "Classic Waterfox" for many years because it will run Adobe Flash Player and Java,
two plugins I desperately need for my brokerage site but like all good things that has and is coming to an end very soon. "Waterfox Classic" seemed to have all kinds of site
rendering issues so I could seldom use it for anything else lately so with the plugins ending I moved on to the "Current" version and noted most of the issues I had been having with rendering have all disappeared.
I guess the only reason I haven't gone over to Chrome or Edge is because I like the interface giving me quick access to tools that Mozilla browsers have resembling the classic IE browser.
also I can open Waterfox most times of the day without waiting for the endless updates Firefox always does that I find really annoying.

I've tried Waterfox several times over the years - never been impressed enough to make it my default.

Interesting you mention the classic IE browsers. That was my preferred for many years - even when FF first came out and everyone was complaining how insecure IE was. Funny. I never got infected with IE. Oh well.

Today, the new Chromium based Edge is my default.

I think when it comes to browsers, it really boils down to what you are used to.

Personally, I attribute the endless Firefox updates to the switch to monthly version updates without sufficient testing (Moving Firefox to a faster 4-week release cycle). I switched to Pale Moon after FF originally started the "Rapid Release" schedule.

Yeah I used Pale Moon for years also but I seem to remember I had issues with quite a few sites again not rendering but that was a long time ago. Waterfox current is not like the older classic version at all it is way more modern looking and much more responsive. Most sites see it as Firefox and as I said I can't think of any addons it won't take as I use Lastpass, adblock Plus and WOT as well as mouse gestures in Waterfox.
I was an avid IE user until it stopped working properly on so many sites and I like the "File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help" toppers like IE had and Mozilla browsers all have that. Chrome and Edge bothers me with the dots for "settings" and then trying to find things I don't use often is just too much work for me. It's personal, no question about it.

I've been using the Chrome browser for years. I'm so steeped in the Googleverse at work and home, (by design no doubt) it'd be a huge undertaking to fully switch. I almost did switch a few years back and had so much trouble with Thunderbird/FF at work with syncing across the office, (my partner/boss busted a monitor because of it) I ditched it for Outlook Desktop and gmail and never looked back. The only reason I mention Thunderbird is its relation to Mozilla.

I do keep other browsers around and updated in case I need to test something. I also try new versions of different browsers including Waterfox and Palemoon. It's not that they're bad, it's the aforementioned steeped in Google syndrome mentioned above.

I used Waterfox until they stopped offering 32 bit browsers. Two of the four Windows computers in the house are 32 bit. I try and keep the browsers, which is an integral part of what we use the computers for, the same on all. It gives me fewer headaches since I'm the "house IT person". ;)
Palemoon is my daily go-to browser and FF ESR and Vivaldi are backups. I'd like to love FF ESR (less updates than regular FF) but it takes so long for anything to open. I get tired watching the little ball go back and forth on the tab.
Google knows enough about me so I refuse to use Chrome as a browser. Even on android, I always use something besides chrome.

I didn't notice they stopped the 32 bit version on Waterfox b ut I see where Pale Moon still has them.

Might argue the best, but the absolute worst is AOL Gold. At this point, I would leave IE11 out of the equation as for all purposes it's kaput.

I've never personally used Waterfox, I may give it a go and see what it's like. I'm currently using Brave at the moment but I was originally using a Pale Moon for a few years, until I found that some sites kept complaining that the user-agent string matched an old version of Firefox and therefore wouldn't load correctly.

Yeah, that's because PM is based on an older version of FF. That's why I no longer use PM either.

Yup that is what I was trying to remember as I used PM for quite a while also until it seemed there were too many sites not rendering right.

I have the same experience I was never infected with IE, or the first Iteration of Edge (IE based). Chromium Edge is what I use now. It's slim and fast.

I was never infected with IE of course I never really used it much though I was a heavy Firefox user until I switched to Waterfox but honestly I have never really been infected with
any browser for that matter.

Right - or rather Mozilla has moved away from it may be more accurate. However, since many websites are expecting FF and choking with PM, not sure PM being so different is a good thing. :(

I haven't run into issues on any website with Pale Moon.
I should not have said "many" websites. My bad. Sorry.

It is more like a "few" but sadly they are sites I visit regularly - such as my account for my water/sewage/trash bill, and one of my financial institutions.

To be fair, I have not tried them lately since I switched my default to the new Edge.
