[SOLVED] Vista Business SP2 Sony Vaio Control Center Issue

Vaio Control Center utility has a "battery care" function to allow users to limit battery charge levels. Now this utility looks different, like a different version and this feature is no longer there. Searching online for this utility was not successful, including on Sony support website.

Can anyone help me restore this feature or find the appropriate version?

I don't know this program. But when I look here, I see it is dated 2012. But you say it now looks different, is a different version and is missing this feature.

I note is also says (their red), IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

So it seems we need more information before moving on. What notebook? When did this change take place?

Downloaded/installed "vaio control center" from

Original Drivers for VGN-TT1 Series : Download : Sony Asia Pacific

this included the battery care function ( charge limiter ) I was looking for
in its "power management" section


p.s.: before installing the replacement control center, I had uninstalled all vaio utilities on the machine, including the control center missing battery care.
