Unable to Update Server 2019

Hi All, I have been struggling trying to get a Windows Server 2019 VM updated with the latest CU KB5017315.

- Cannot get the update to install via SCCM - error: 0x80073712
- Cannot install the KB update or SSU manually, due to error installing
- Renamed softwaredistributed folder, catroot2 folder, restarted services etc - made no difference
- Conducted dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth, and results were: The component store is repairable.
- Conducted dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth - but failed with error: 0x800f081f.
- Conducted sfc /scannow, and no integrity violations detected.
- Conducted dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:install.wim:4 /limitaccess - but process freezes and does not complete after several hours running

I dont think any updates have ever been installed on this VM, as I cannot see any previously installed updates/history, and running 'get-hotfix' also freezes.

Also, every restart I conduct takes approx 2 hours, as it attempts to install updates, then fails and reverts changes.

Any ideas as to what I can attempt next?
