This forum helped me a few years ago with some 2008 servers I was having issues with. I am hoping to get some assistance with this 2012 R2 server. This is actually one of our Domain Controllers. I've tried installing patches from Windows Update, Manually, and PowerShell. The server reboots and gets to 100% but then undoes changes. I tried installing just the latest servicing stack also, same issue. I had ran sfc /scannow, it did fix some corruption the first time but the update issue continued. I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, and it found 0 corruptions. I also ran SFCFix, found 0 corruptions. I looked through the cbs log and can't see to find any pre-requisites that might be missing. I cleared the CBS log and re-ran everything for fresh logs. Hopefully you guys can see something I am missing. CBS Folder: CBS.zip

I am noticing things like this in the CBS lo Code: 2021-03-16 21:46:32, Error CSI 00000005 (F) Logged @2021/3/17:04:46:32.353 : [ml:312{156},l:310{155}]"EventAITrace:Provider Microsoft-WindowsAzure-Status{{9e3b8bee-15eb-444b-a692-bab4546644f2}} is missing channels under the channelreferances registry key. I noticed that the keys are missing I looked at another server and it has these Could this be the issue I am having? Do I just export and import these? If so, should I fix all these errors at once or 1 by 1 (fix 1, try to patch, if it fails, try to fix the next one). I also think I could just be having other issues, not just missing registry keys. This is one of our Domain Controllers so I am trying to be cautious.

One I had tried to install previously and failed. I tried again and it actually installed successfully which is great news. I am going to try to patch this again tonight and continue troubleshooting. I will report back if I fix this. For now its unresolved but I think I am in the right direction. Hopefully after I restart it tonight I will be good
