Hi,

I'm trying to install the March 2022 cumulative update (KB5011503) on a Server 2019 machine but the installation has failed several time with the error 0x80073712. Manually downloading and installing the update file from Microsoft Update Catalog gives me the same result. Running CHKDSK and SFC scans came back fine. However running dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth gives the message 'Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found.'. Any ideas what may be causing the issue and how to fix it?

I have uploaded the CBS logs here: CBS.zip

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

I will look into this problem as well.
Note: I'm currently in training so my posts will need to be approved by the Sysnative instructors.

As in the previous thread, I will provide the fix in batches. But I need some time to gather al the files.

Hi,

Due to the number of corruptions, I'll provide the fix in twelve batches, this is the first one.

Is there a way you can send multiple fix files together and I execute them in sequence?

Hi,

Yes that's possible, I can post the next seven packages in separate posts for you at once.
But save after each run the logfile of SFCFix (otherwise it will be overwritten) - rename them for example to SFCFix6.txt, SFCFix7.txt up to SFCFix12.txt and attach the logfiles in your next post.

When the last batch is executed with SFCFix, reboot the server and perform a scan with the System File Checker and let me know the result.

  • Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, and press enter.
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
  • Take a screenshot of the commandprompt window and paste it into your next reply.
