Unable to install KB5005565 - error 0x80073701

Hello there,

My computer is unable to install the recent Sept 14th update. I've done troubleshooting with the DSIM tool, System File Checker, and SCFix, all which have given me no error messages. I'm not able to understand the CBS log I found to see what is missing/why I'm getting this error and was hoping someone could help as this update is crucial for my work tools to function properly (I work from home).

I run Windows 10 on a desktop, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, 16 GB RAM.

The following will check if any of these packages are present on your system:

1. If needed, download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
2. Download the attached file, SFCFixScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFixScript.txt - do not rename it.
3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFixScript.txt.
5. Drag the file SFCFixScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
6. SFCFix will now process the script.
7. Upon completion, a log should be created on your Desktop called SFCFix.txt
8. Attach this SFCFix.txt file into your next post for me.
