I have one of the original i7 Surface Books from Microsoft. I am running Windows 10 version 1703. My BIOS version is: SMBIOSBIOSVersion90.1427.768. I keep getting asked to re-start the computer to install the latest UEFI update. I do the re-starts, but it doesn't seem to install. I have McAfee DE installed if that matters. When I look into the setupapi.dev.log file I see the following:

set: Description: Surface Embedded Controller Firmware
set: Parent Device: ACPI_HAL\UEFI\0
set: Problem Code: CM_PROB_NEED_RESTART (14)
set: Problem Status: 0xC0000058
set: Driver INF Name: oem126.inf
set: Driver Package Id: surfaceec.inf_amd64_ef713e2f433c36f1
set: Class Name: Firmware
set: Provider Name: Surface
set: Driver Date: 01/18/2018
set: Driver Version: 90.2098.256.0
set: Matching Device Id: UEFI\RES_{22774a20-e21c-466b-905c-3583d74e873f}
set: Driver Rank: 0x00FF0001
set: {Migrate Device: UEFI\RES_{22774a20-e21c-466b-905c-3583d74e873f}\0} 16:10:25.568
set: No function driver service for device 'UEFI\RES_{22774a20-e21c-466b-905c-3583d74e873f}\0'.
set: {Migrate Device: exit(0x00000000)} 16:10:25.583

It is frustrating. I can't uninstall McAfee DE without wiping my computer.
