I do enjoy the benefits of being able to find an enormous amount of information freely and quickly, however, that feeling is slightly subdued by my love for being able to browse through a library or bookstore. I feel the Internet has caused independent bookstores (and bookstores in general) and libraries to diminish; you can't find any technical books anymore within a bookshop or library, everyone just turns to the Internet. I do try and order books from Amazon, although, some of the books which I really want are very expensive i.e. £70+

Does anyone feel the same?

I'm past the stage of being interested in technical books and rely on sites like this for that information. However, I am an avid reader for pleasure and go to the local branch of the library every two weeks, borrowing 7-8 books at a time. I have a OneNote notebook with a long list of favorite authors so I can keep track of which books are next on the reading list. When preparing my list prior to a library visit, I check the online catalog and copy the info I need to a book list that is synced to my phone. From the list, its a quick trip to the proper locations to find the books on my list. Favorite reading material: Mystery/thrillers, detective/police/FBI.

I prefer to learn from books, but I prefer to reference from the internet (or digital - PDFs). A lot of the time (almost all the time) it's not financially feasible for me to always have books to learn, so I need to rely on the internet. This is why the internet is great to me.

As far as I'm concerned, I feel any form of educational material should be free. That's a story for another day.

If only that was true.
Unfornately people around the globe don't share the same opinion.

I rely on the Internet for all information that I need.

I think you'll continue to see bookstores in decline.

I believe and would like to see all public records available on the Internet. Some are, but overall, access is too restricted.
