If you know the right places to look. :wink11a: SystemLookup - Global Search I don't know if it should be in that registry key or not but it might be worth reinstalling G Data and leaving everything at default for the install. Then, check that registry key again.

R RacerX Active member Joined Dec 20, 2014 Posts 40 Location Cleveland Feb 9, 2016 #43 Update; I decided to remove as many traces of the BS automatic Win 10 "upgrade", and found this page, How to remove Windows 10 upgrade updates in Windows 7 and 8 - gHacks Tech New. I removed all the updates listed, and then ran the GWX Control Panel from here Ultimate Outsider - Software Downloads After rebooting several times I no longer have those folders opening up! Problem solved...... Imagine that. Don't know if I should even install any more security updates, let alone the regular ones. Does Microsoft really have the right to force me to upgrade to Win 10?
