Thank you for helping me out to resolve the problem.
I would like to know what are these processes which you recommend to run?
What are the status of the important computer files? - Do you mean to prepare to reimage the drive?
If Yes, I don't need that. I have an image of the Windows clean installation.
a) backup images available
b) backup files available
c) no backup images or files and there are important files that need to be saved
d) no backup images or files and there are no important files that need to be saved
If a reset save files equivalent could be performed would that be a viable fix?
Files would be saved and drivers and applications would need to be installed.
1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
2) sfc /scannow
scan for system files - I did that before, there are no corrupt files.
3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
scan for system files (compared to the online image)- there are no corrupt files.
4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth -
no need if no issues
5) sfc /scannow
6) chkdsk /scan
7) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
8) Open administrative Powershell > copy and paste this script >
What is going to do this script? Please explain.
