Does anyone else get symbol errors on the 2 newest dumps (8-26 + 8-27), but not the earlier 2 (dated 8-13 + 8-15) from the attached zip file?

From a TSF thread - BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER random appearience

Seems odd to get sym errors on only 2 of the 4 dumps.

Thank you.

I'm getting problems with symbols too:

I've tried using the .symfix command to reset the symbol path to the default Microsoft Symbol Server and then reloaded the symbols again, but it still appears to be having problems with loading symbols. I'm not sure why it is only have problems with certain dump file though? I don't have much experience with debugging symbol errrors.

Code:
4: kd> [COLOR=#008000]!itoldyouso ntkrnlmp[/COLOR]

ntkrnlmp.exe
    Timestamp: 55AFCA65
  SizeOfImage: 5EB000
          pdb: ntkrnlmp.pdb
      pdb sig: 42CACE49-8365-43C9-9FD9-7EF81CFF33F4
          age: 2

Loaded pdb is c:\symbols\ntkrnlmp.pdb\42CACE49836543C99FD97EF81CFF33F42\ntkrnlmp.pdb

ntkrnlmp.pdb
      pdb sig: 42CACE49-8365-43C9-9FD9-7EF81CFF33F4
          age: 2

MATCH: ntkrnlmp.pdb and ntkrnlmp.exe

Symbols like nt!_KPRCB would use ntkrnlmp.pdb right?

Doesn't look pirated.
Not W10
?recent updates? Maybe a new ntoskrnl.exe that someone forgot to enter into the symbol server?
I've had some issues with symbols recently - but nothing that was worth noting until this came up.

nt!_KPRCB would use one of the variants that form ntoskrnl - I can't recall all of them, but seem to recall that there were 4 that could be renamed to ntoskrnl (ntkrnlpa and ntkrnlmp were 2 of them) during installation depending on the processor involved.

Still no idea about the symbols. It's either a problem with the server, or with the file(s).

Thanks... just wanted to make sure it wasn't me as this was the 3rd set I hit in one day.

I've been getting errors on every dmp lately

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT (4e)
Typically caused by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists (ie: calling
MmUnlockPages twice with the same list, etc). If a kernel debugger is
available get the stack trace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000099, A PTE or PFN is corrupt
Arg2: 00000000001545f8, page frame number
Arg3: 0000000000000001, current page state

No that was a win 7 dmp.

Dmp attached.
Yep. Getting the symbol problems here as well. But, maybe the dumps are corrupted?

Any idea what does the below line mean? Full form of ETW?
Code:
----- ETW minidump data unavailable-----

No I've not seen that before.

I just ran one dmp from Sysnative and it ran fine no errors > https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...od-stop-0x124_genuineintel_processor_tlb.html

Seems to be only TSF attachments maybe?
Run one from here if you would and see if it gives you errors > BSOD! help! - Tech Support Forum
Yep. All of the dumps from the TSF links are giving me the Symbol errors. But, I see that happening in many cases of 0x124 (Even when the user is running genuine software).

All 3 are WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) meaning a CPU hang fault.
These are almost never caused by the CPU but lets verify by running the Intel CPU diagnostic tool. D/L and run> https://downloadcenter.intel.com/dow...c-Tool-64-bit-
That's a typo right?

-Pranav

Symbols like nt!_KPRCB would use ntkrnlmp.pdb right?

I believe there are multiple symbol databases for kenel code, depending on the computer architecture at install, for PAE or SMP.
But for the most part, yes, most kernel functions and data structures use the standard nt symbols.

It depends on the version of the kernel that's used on the system in question.
I have .exe and .pdb for the following in my Symbol folder:
ntkrnlmp
ntkrnlpa
ntkrpamp
ntoskrnl

And, as I recall, they may all be referenced as ntoskrnl once installed in the system (so, if your system needs ntkrnlpa, it'll be renamed to ntoskrnl during setup)
The versions are pointed out in the Overview here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ntoskrnl.exe
But I seem to recall reading it in Windows Internals a while back (can't recall where in it)
This topic tends to verify that the particular version is renamed to ntoskrnl.exe at installation: https://www.osronline.com/showthread.cfm?link=156965
