most regular users don't like it - 90%

what do you think? agree with the stats or think win 8 is a winner?

I have a disc and license for Windows 8, but I have yet to mess with it. From what I see from posting over at MS Answers all the time, it seems to be a really great OS but there are quite a number of issues with the preview. I imagine as soon as it's released fully it will be right on par with Windows 7.

I like W8 now.

It suffered from the same problem vista did in my opinion: Neither of them were out of the box ready like xp/7.

Now that I have W8 all set up and configured to my liking I prefer it over 7.

laxer,
yes, i to this day despise vista for its bloat, slowness, uac-ness etc.

what is it about 8 that you prefer to 7?

The snappiness mainly, it is way more responsive than 7. The whole UI is faster, from booting to file management.

I haven't tried the 8.1 preview... It doesn't offer anything that interests me.

8 seems faster than 7; 7 is definitely faster than Vista.

All share the NT6 build.

6.0 - Vista
6.1 - Windows 7
6.2 - Windows 8
6.3 - Windows 8.1
