Be sure to create a system restore point first! Regards. . . jcgriff2 Last edited: Jan 24, 2014

I got a notification on the little flag on the task bar essentially advising me to disable any startup programs that are causing the computer to slow down - I think just at startup.

We meet again If you run into any problems, just let me know what the problem is and I'll tell you which to re-enable. Disable: Logitech Download Assistant Creative UpdReg brs Fax Man Service PowerDVD RC Service Sound Blaster Control Panel Leave enabled: SUPERAntiSpyware (important) 2x Printer controllers (not actually critical, but we'll leave them be) Delayed launcher (probably not critical, but probably best not to disable either) btmshellex (Bluetooth wireless - you probably don't use this but I'll leave it anyway) Richard

As I recall from your posts at LandzDown, you also have WinPatrol, unless you didn't install it on the new computer. Remember, with WinPatrol, you can also move startup programs to "Delayed Start".
