Now when I boot up I get: SMART failure predicted on Hard Disk O: Pressing F1 does nothing. I have tried to get into the BIOS with F2, number 0, Esc, F12 but nothing works. Any ideas?

Did you create a recovery boot disk or USB with Macrium? If so, boot from the Macrium rescue disk and use the fix boot problems option in Macrium. I am indeed able to boot to the recovery USB by pressing F12 for boot options when the system powers on. However, when I re-insert the SSD, F12 no longer works. In fact nothing works. I only get the SMART Failure Predicted message.
