New here, so please bear with me. Ran SFCFix and got this result:

FIXED: Successfully repaired missing store directory C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-codeintegrity_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.23040_none_ff02e99834994120.

CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-http-api_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_f7b3a6eafb8df2de\httpapi.dll

Tried a search on this forum, but didn't see anything that seemed to help me. Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Computer actually running fine, but a routine sfc /scannow scan turned up these two problems, and SFCFix fixed one but not the other.

Thanks in advance for any help. Admins--If this post is in the wrong place, please move it.

Update-I think I fixed it. Went to dll-files.com and downloaded httpapi 32bit file, extracted it to the winsxs/httpapi folder, and it replaced the dll. Re-ran sfc /scannow, and it said it is repaired. Ran sfc /scannow again, and no integrity violations found. Ran SFCFix, and no corruptions or other problems detected. So for now, all seems well. Not sure what programs would have used the corrupted file in the first place, since I never got any error messages.

Hi frogg,

Do you still need assistance with this issue?

Aura-thank you very much for following up on this. So far the fix I applied, replacing the winsxs\.86\httpapi.dll, seems to have done the trick. Hardest part was getting the ownership and permissions so windows would allow me to do it. Thanks for the great service you provide. I learned a lot just by looking at this forum and seeing how some problems were resolved.

No problem frogg, you're welcome :) If the issue comeback, please start a new thread as I'll be marking this one as solved.

Thank you!
