 After doing SFC scannnow - I got Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log ....................
I did SFCFix and followed the screen instructions. On completion View attachment sfcfix 10.6.15.zip, a file was not created on my desktop SFCFix.txt. But the restore operation completed successfully, corruption was repaired and the operation was completed successfully.

The last time I did sfc /scannow last month I got the same corruption message but it was repaired using SFCFix but it seems I could have the same corruption issue again. :noidea:

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. If you still need assistance, please do the following.

Step#1 - Gather Info
1. Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
2. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
3. Double click on SFCFix.exe to open it.
4. Follow all on screen instructions and upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop named SFCFix.txt.
5. Please post the contents of this log in your next post. Thank you.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your reply, I downloaded SFCFix.exe as instructed but didn't get the SCFix.txt file created on my desktop, so I took a screenshot of scan and put that and the CBS in zipped files, I hope they will be ok.

The corruption you have is from a known issue that Microsoft is working on. You can safely ignore. More info follows. It doesn't impact the operation of your computer.

Code:

This update contains the following two manifests that are occasionally updated by the Diagnostic Tracking Service:

telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json
utc.app.json

The two files are marked as static files in the update. When an advanced user runs the System File Checker Tool (sfc.exe), the files are unintentionally flagged as corrupted. There is no impact or corruption on a device that is running this update, and this issue will be fixed in a later service update.

Hi Brian,
thank you very much for your help, that is a relief that I can safely ignore this corruption.:smile9:
