Hi,
I had a problem with viruses and trojans, I've cleaned the system but I follow receiving error messages like "api-ms-win-downlevel-advapi32-l1-1-0.dll missing" or "api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-l1-1-0.dll missing" etc.

Time to get these files repaired.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC /SCANNOW

Right click on the

button
Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

Right click on the

button
Click on Run => Inside the run box copy and paste the following command:

Before run SFC / SCANNOW again, I want to tell you that the system is running "fine" now but I have a "little problem" yet.

When I double-clicked to any folder this open in a new window
I've checked the "Open each folder in the same window" option
I've Re-registered iexplore.dll

Hi,

I apologize for my absence, I managed to solve my problem with folder at separated window (now appears in the same window), but over the days continue to emerge problems,
I can't open the windows help (Windows help and support ca'nt open popup)
I have messages like "dinotify.exe windows cannot access the specified device"
I think that my system is injured.
My user account is administrator level but no regular access to some folders , I think that's the real problem.
I ran an application for restore the permissions but that decision made things worse and I had many problems to restore my system.
How can check the integrity of ALL SYSTEM FILES and replace them by genuine files

Thanks for reply me, the application that I've used (bad choice, for me at least) was ResetFilePermissions (Tweaking.com)
I'll run sfc /scannow one more time, the last time it could not fix several files for this reason I don't ran this command again.

Please download VEW.exe from Here and save it to your desktop.
Go to your desktop and right click on VEW.exe and choose Run as Administrator
Once open set the following settings
- 'Select log to query'
  1. Tick Application
  2. Tick System
- 'Select Type to list'
  1. Tick Critical
  2. Tick Error
  3. Tick Information
  4. Tick Warning
- 'Number or date events'
  1. Tick Number of Events and set it to 20
Click on Run
Once completed a notepad file will open. Please copy and paste the contents of VEW.txt back into this thread.
