Hello,

for some time I heve this problem with windows updates and related to this I think is also the role and future refresh in server manager. All your help will be much appreciated

just found that "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages" is empty. Could this be the issue?

If you have no sub-keys underneath the Packages key then yes that is the issue.

can I restore them somehow, to make a script that will create them from the "packagedetect" keys? if yes, what are the needed settings of the new keys

Do you happen to have any backups of the systemstate of this server?

Is this a Domain Controller? If not, what roles does this server have installed?
