Hi,

Hope some brilliant mind can help me fix a new problem I have encountered on a Server 2019 SQL server:

KB5055519 is failing to install with 0x80070002 error.

Have done the following to try and resolve this:

SFC scan - found no integrity errors.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Rebooted and still failing.
Downloaded the KB file and installed manually but fails and undoes the changes and back to square one.
Tried looking through the CBS file to find the source but it's just a needle in a haystack and having trouble pinpointing anything useful.

Hi @SF-scanning,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Please provide the previous CbsPersist logs as well.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply. If the file is too large to attach, upload the CBS.zip file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.
