[SOLVED] Server 2016 Windows Update Failed due to Driver Errors

Hi Sysnative,

Need your help in fixing driver issues causing windows update to fail. Here is the CBS logs and setupapi.dev.log

i checked the driver folders in filerepository and winsxs and folders are present

i tried running the updates again just to see but it still failed

what i've tried so far is updating the registry value for stornvme.inf in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\DriverDatabase\DriverInfFiles\stornvme.inf

after making the change, the folders have been created in filereposiory but it still fails.

Looks like the drivers have a strange name, windows update worked after renaming the files. If anyone stumbles on this, i followed the steps in the following thread:
