Thank you so much - this was an installation in a VM on a very small SSD and WinSXS store had grown to like 50gigs and was just killing my drive space because it couldn't be cleaned. As a result of your help, it's now down to 9 gigs. Thanks again I really appreciate it!

Using the /ResetBase switch with the /StartComponentCleanup parameter of DISM.exe on a running version of Windows 10 removes all superseded versions of every component in the component store. Click to expand... All existing service packs and updates cannot be uninstalled after this command is completed. This will not block the uninstallation of future service packs or updates.
