Server 2016, DISM and SFC failing - Error 1017

Hello guys,

I'm faced with an issue where my Server 2016 box will not install updates and i can't run any DISM commands as it returns: Error 1017. The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format.
