I have two DC 2012 servers, NOT R2 but the first version. These are VM's under Esxi 6.5 if that matters any.
One comes back perfect, one not so much....
I cannot run windows update on serv1
Here are the results of the things I have tried.
SFC /SCANNOW

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
The component store is repairable
The operation completed successfully.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
failed, as expected as the update source is unavailible with windows update being a no go.
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:e:\Source\install.wim
also failed, seemed to indicate that the source was not correct? I should have taken better notes on that :)
SFCFix.exe
Does not create CBS.ZIP file. SFCFix.txt and CBS.log file attached.
Any chance of some direction here plz :)
