Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

The update that I was asked to install way back in post #2 installed. I moved on to some others that were failing and they are still failing. I wasn't sure if those should be checked, or if there is another route now that the first one has been installed.

we recently switched to Kaseya and automatically approve any critical updates that are less than 30 days old. They were all failing so I downloaded them to install one at a time and they all failed. Here is what is listed.

Is it possible for you to see what Microsoft detects as needed instead of using any kind of management software?

Yeah. I can do a Group Policy override and have it go out to the web and look. We migrated from WSUS to Kaseya. We will be updating all of our 2008 R2 servers by the end of the 2020 first quarter, and these will all go away. I will try a normal Windows Update right now. We have also tried WSUS Offline and it failed too, as an FYI.

A normal Windows update says that this server has 58 updates, with an additional 5 optional update. Going to attempt them now.

Through Windows updates, the attached are the updates it is trying to apply. As you can see, they all fail.

According to Kaseya, there are only 6 immediate updates it wants to install, and those are listed in the Kaseya image.
