Just picked up a Samsung NP700Z5C for the wife on sale.
Intel i7 3650m/ GT640m nvida.

It of course has Windows 8 and Samsung provides a program called Quick Starter to give you a start menu on the desktop.

Question is once I delete a program does anyone know how to remove it from the 3rd party start menu?

Quick start is for when you close the lid of the laptop while in windows and then open the lid again and it will resume in less than 3 seconds right back to where you left off. It's how it works on mine, Samsung RV511.

I don't have anything called Quick Starter on mine, just Quick Start. As far as I can tell, yours and mine doesn't have any official support from Samsung for windows 8.

Ahh...no wonder I couldn't find anything on it from your models Samsung support webpage. That's a very cool and free app to download. I'm wondering if Samsung is the only vendor doing this?

As for your question; try it and see what happens. You can always re-download the app if not.

Thanks for the clarification.

Reinstalling just tells me it's already installed, I would hate to think you have to uninstall and reinstall it every time you remove a program.................

There's nothing in the English manual about it, not sure about the Portuguese Manual since I can't read Portuguese:lol:
