Replaced mobo, new one won't POST?

I've been having lots of issues. I've been having lots of motherboard related trouble and decided it was time to get a new one.

My CPU's a FX-8150, GPU a Sapphire Radeon HD 6850, RAM 2x4GB Kingston HyperX PC3 12800 (KHX1600C9D3X1K2/8GX).

A couple weeks ago my new Asus M5A99FX arrived. I swapped it in, fired it up, and was greeted by no POSTing and the CPU_LED staying continuously red. Quick googling shows that means that the CPU isn't passing POST. I went through all the troubleshooting steps, reseating 8 pin and 24 pin, one stick of RAM, reseat GPU power, clear CMOS, remove CPU, check for bent pins, and reseat CPU. None of this worked. I pulled out the CPU again and put it into my old board and lo and behold, it fired right up. I ended up RMAing it.

Now today I got the replacement board. As you probably guessed from me posting here, I'm having the exact same problem. I went through the exact same process and got nowhere. CPU still fires up in the old board. I'm at my wits end.

Should I just get a refund and order a different board?

Asus' CS and RMA department has known to go more than down the drain the past very few years. I have read stories on different forums of people getting the same board over and over again, or another broken one 5+ times.

Should I just get a refund and order a different board?

They will probably fight you to hell and back, but yes.

I did the RMA through Newegg and I'll probably do the refund through them too then. Thanks for the advice.
