I have a dual boot win7 and Ubuntu. I would like to remove the linux partition. I inserted my Windows RE disc and it cannot find my win7 OS in order to repair it. I went to the command prompt which read something like X:\sources> and now I am stuck with what to do. Should I go to x:\windows and use bootrec \fixmbr from there? If I do that will I then be able to boot from my hard drive and then delete the linux partitions from windows?

I am running win7 64 bit.

Any help would be much appreciated. I am pretty much a novice with all this but I understand that I can delete the GRUB using fixmbr somehow. What is the best way to approach this problem. Please assume I am an idiot and know nothing bar the most basic instructions.......
