I also had to remove my work Microsoft account as it forced me to use a PIN to login. But, NordVPN is now acting up and I can only access the internet when I disconnect from a VPN server.

Having followed your instructions, the duplicate phantom user account is still there upon login. I have gone as far as creating a new Microsoft account and removing all other accounts from every obvious location available and still the other account is there and says that the password is incorrect when I turn on the pc for the first time.
