Dell Poweredge T310 Server crashed overnight and restarted.

It happened last month (overnight again) and the server would not boot, RAID array unrecoverable. HDD had to be replaced. Currently running off a single HDD whilst new drives arrive. Bluescreened and restarted last night and so want to get this error diagnosed before putting the new disks in.

OS - SBS 2008sp2

OEM Dell version
Age unknown - 5 years+
OS age - 02/02/2011

Hi. . .

Unfortunately, the 2 dumps were not much help.

Run Driver Verifier - see if any 3rd party drivers are flagged - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...er-bsod-related-windows-10-8-1-8-7-vista.html

Let Driver Verifier run in the background for at least 24 hours minimum. Save your work frequently because if Driver Verifier flags a driver, it will immediately force a BSOD.

Check your system manufacturer's support site for a BIOS update.

Your current BIOS:
Code:
BIOS Version/Date	Dell Inc. 1.3.6, 24/05/2010
SMBIOS Version	2.6

Dell support shows a BIOS update:
Code:
Dell Server BIOS PowerEdge T310 Version 1.12.0

Your system model:
Code:
System Model:	PowerEdge T310
Dell Server BIOS PowerEdge T310 Version 1.12.0 Driver Details | Dell US

Hi,

pretty easy?

a Double fault is triggered and Eset End Point Protection? goes wild.
The Mindump isn't of any help as the stack can't be expanded to catch the first failure.
may be Raid driver is missing that drive.
guess it runs smooth if the system is complete with the new drive.

regards
Michael

Hi

Thanks for the input. I'm not 100% sure what you're saying. Are you saying it's down to the single drive?

The thing is, the exactly the same fault has been happening before the system was configured to run off a single drive so not sure how it can be related?

Cheers

Neil

Neil,
also detected malwarebytes or an rest of among Eset, why?
you are driving SAS-Drives right? and is there a newer driver available, yours isn't the newest one.
