I found some solution in other threads but they seem not to apply to my situation
I run W7 professional in Italian version on a HP probook

I run several times sfc but the messages didn't contain the "cannot repair" messages
although there are several situation like the attached file

someone could help me?
thanks

PLease post the complete CBS folder - you'll have to copy it to the desktop and compress it (and you may need to trim out the older CBSPwesist cab files as well to het in under the forum's file size limits)

hi Noel .... thanks
I attach the files
I forgot to say that one of the strange behaviors of my PC is that it refuses to execute Windows Update the message says it is not able and that WU is not in execution
I followed the Microsoft instructions to start it but had no success

Your problem appears to be an ancient update - KB976902 - which is 'stuck' in the queue and getting in the way of everything.

There were no significant errors in the SFC output.
Let's see if the CheckSUR tool helps at all...

Please download and save the CheckSUR tool from System Update Readiness Tool fixes Windows Update errors
(you'll need to look in the details for Windows 7, downloading from the Microsoft Download Center)

Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your reply.

Ah! that one is probably simple :)

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194

(you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then test Windows Update

PERFECT:lol: ..... with The rapid storage drivers I was able to use Windows Update and so I could install the indicated patch ..... and all the 48 updates that have been produced in the meantime
then I run the sfc again and ...... listen ...... NO ERRORS AT ALL .......... YOO HOO!!!!!!:beerchug2:
