From NYPD BODYCAM:
Absolutely incredible. The hand-cuffed guy plead guilty to a "resisting arrest" charge so the drug possession and obstructing justice charges would be dropped and he would not have to do any time in New York City's Riker's Island jail (a truly horrific place) in 2018. The prosecutor lied, the police lied, both saying the bodycam video wasn't available. It is illegal for the prosecutor to do so especially considering that he had the bodycam video. It is a "Brady violation". Prosecutors need to be prosecuted for Brady violations, IMHO. No excuse.
The judge vacated the 2018 conviction. Way beyond extremely rare considering that the conviction came about due to a guilty plea.
False accusations by corrupt police make me sick, angry, and revengeful. These guys must pay dearly.
Been there, done that, beat them - several times. Zero losses.
Bad corrupt cops never learn. I have encountered these; taken some down in court.
>90+% of cops are decent, honest LEOs. I know many.
If you do not have one, get a dashcam, including rear, side-facing, and interior video too. It may save your life and especially your liberty.
Make sure the dashcam has a timestamp, GPS, and a speedometer. Some cars also have a "black box" like "heavy" airplanes do that records engine performance as well as the date, time, GPS - enough to disprove a speeding ticket. Check with your vehicle dealer or manufacturer.
