Hi guys,
After spending more than 3 days unsuccessfully trying to resolve this problem, I am completely frustrated and need some help.
I have a Laptop ASUS N550JK, with the following specs:
Intel Core i7 4700H
16 GB RAM
Graphic cards: Intel 4600 and Nvidia GTX 850M.
SSD Samsung EVO 250 GB
Windows 8.1 x64 Professional
Basically, if I try to play any game (League of Legends, Counter Strike GO, Just Cause 2, etc) using my NVIDIA card, after some seconds the Windows freezes completely and I get a BSOD with the message DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. If I remove the driver, and play these games using the Intel card, everything goes well. Sometimes, I get a "Nvidia driver stopped responding and has recovered".
I already tried the following solutions, but without success
* Did fresh install of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.
* Installed the Intel/ NVIDIA drivers from the Asus website; install the video drivers from the Intel and NVIDIA's websites, install old drivers.
I also did a DDU of these drivers, no difference.
* Removed all antivirus software, unnecessary softwares, etc.
* Updated the BIOS.
* Replaced the SSD by other HDD and did fresh install of Windows, drivers, etc.
* Tried to keep only one RAM stick, both, etc. Also ran memtest86 and no errors were found.
* Tried to run the "driver verified" and it did not get any error until I run and game and break the system.
Curiously, I ran some gpu stress tests (OCCT, vmt, memtestCL) and I did not get any error.
Does anyone have any thought about why this problem is happening? What should I do?
Thank you so much for your help.
PS. I am also sending the last minidumps after the BSOD: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c21mhbcv4bzly74/AADtQ5bppPViGhCTLs-lX8MTa?dl=0
