no signal on boot

hey,

i have the following problem:
for a couple of days now, when booting my PC, in 9 out of 10 the all fans will start running, but my monitor will show 'No Signal'. there were no POST beeps at that point.
i will then have to try a couple more times or wait a while, after that it will eventually boot normally and run w/o problems for hours. which i find curious. on the next boot the problem likely returns.

what i tried already was removing 1 or both of my 2 RAM sticks. when i used only one of the two, i get 4 short beeps and the PC will shut down after. with the other one, it will eventually boot, but not after giving me the 'no signal' for at least 5 tries. i am pretty sure that with both RAM sticks connected, i now also get the 4 beeps, this was not the case in the beginning.

i googled the POST beep code and came up with this: "4 short System timer failure- The system clock/timer IC has failed or there is a memory error in the first bank of memory"

this is my mb: ASRock > H77 Pro4-M
this is my RAM: XMS3 — 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 16MHz C9 Memory Kit (CMX8GX3M2A16C9)

one other thing i noticed is a little red light on the front side of my PC, i think it comes from my harddrive, will not light up red when booting and getting the 'no signal', but it will light up when the booting works.
also i might add that i am not 100% sure that one of the RAM sticks is broken or something, since even when using only the 2nd i get troubles booting and only 1 out of 10 tries works.

would appreciate any kind of help. how can i narrow this problem down? are maybe both of my ram sticks faulty? 1 not working at all anymore, the other causing the 1 out of 10 boot problem? or is it my MB? could this red light of my -assumed- harddrive, that is not lighting up when the failed boot attempts happen have anything to do with this?

thanks a lot!

This sound like power supply.

The first thing you can do is discharge the voltage from the capacitors.

Remove the power core and the monitor connector, once you are ready hold the power button for a minute.

If you have any power extensions remove them and connect the computer directly to the wall socket.

In case this occur again I`m afraid you need to replace power supply.

Many thanks,
Andy

thanks for your answer.
i tried the things you suggested, but unfortunately, it is happening again a lot of times when i try to boot.
is there any way that i can confirm that the problem is coming from the power supply, other than buying a new one?
thanks again

How the computer behave?

When the computer starts there is a bleeping sound, that is the booting screen and so on.

Can you please confirm in this cases you do not have this bleeping sound?

Can you confirm when was the last time you cleaned dust from inside the computer?

Sometimes the memory slot get dull of dust and need to be completely cleaned.

The RAM chips must be taken out and placed again.

Try with this if still no luck you probably need to replace the power supply.
