Hello, I am having an issue where my netbook's wireless network adapter keeps needing reset. I do not have a certain pattern as to it needing it, it just does it multiple times a day. It really started to go bonkers after I did a factory reset on Windows 7, though.

My network adapter is Atheros AR5B95, on Acer Aspire One.

Many thanks!

If you reset it to factory setting, you may need to update your network adapter driver. What is the exact model number of your Acer?

Model number KAV60.

I did attempt to update the driver but it still happened.

Does this happen when you connect to different wireless networks or just one particular network?

Double click the wireless network adapter in Network Connections. Click Properties, Configure then click the Power Management tab and remove the check next to "allow the computer to turn this device off".

It happens with multiple connections. I also just did that a couple of hours ago, but no cigar. :/

I have an Acer lap top with an Atheros network adapter and have been having the same problem for months. I tried virtually every fix I read on line, but I think I finally solved the problem. I bought my laptop in January of 2015, but it seems the driver for my adapter was updated in January 2016. I went to a driver download site and downloaded the driver for my adapter, open the properties for the adapter then clicked update driver. It browsed my download folder, selected the software download and installed it. Every thing seems to be working great. At least for the moment, keeping my fingers crossed.
