Hello, It's been a while since I have posted on here. Hope all is well in the world of sysnative! I am seeking assistance in fixing some corrupt files on my Windows 10 PC. I have tried the following commands in command prompt.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

sfc /SCANNOW

These commands did help to find some issues and fix them but everytime I try to back up my pc using Acronis True Image for Western Digital it fails due to corrupt files and says to do a checkdsk scan which I have with no luck. Attaching a screen shot of my norton antivirus found corrupt files I think may be an issue but not sure how to fix them if need be. I also ran Ccleaner, Malware bytes, and Norton to fix any virus or malware and everything seems good there. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Hi thanks for the fast reply. I will try the chkdsk /r command tonight and let you know results. Not sure how to use WinRar.

Hello Mr. Corday, I hope you are having a good day. I have tried a chkdsk /r scan and downloaded WinRAR but I am not sure how to use it 100% so I am still having the same issue with my back up failing. Attaching CBS.log files maybe this may help and rebuilt.CBS.log files repaired I believe using WinRAR if I used the program correctly not sure. Also attaching message from my back-up software that is possibly from a graphics driver but I never had a problem using this back-up software before and I don't believe I have a graphics card or driver to update.

Thanks for you help in this matter I really appreciate it!

Attaching screen shots of the failed back-up messages from Acronis True Image for Western Digital back-up software and I already checked both the C: drive and the F: drive I use for back-up.

Hi, jbiv99.

Although you didn't post both the logs created by the FRST tool, it's obvious that your hard disk has issues:

Error: (06/04/2025 08:03:14 PM) (Source: disk) (EventID: 7) (User: )
Description: The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

You said that you have tried chkdsk /r command, but I don't see the result.

Let's make sure you did everything correctly:

Check disk
  • Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt.
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • Enter the command below and press on Enter and wait for it to finish (~15 minutes).
    Code:
       chkdsk C: /r
  • You will receive a message that the operation cannot be performed while the system is in use and ask if you want to check when you restart your computer. Choose Yes, and then restart the computer, allowing disk check to run at startup.
  • The process will take some time, depending on the disk condition.
  • Download ListChkdskResult by SleepyDude and save it on your Desktop.
  • Double click on the created icon.
  • A notepad file will open. Copy its content and paste it in your next reply.

@Corday Malwarebytes blocks the download for DiskGenius due to a riskware. Not sure it is a F/P.

Apologies for "changing the subject of the topic", but I am getting this warning from Malwarebytes again today, when trying to download DiskGenius:

Strange. Using FF, I just opened the site and did it again just to make sure. Before posting, I just went over to Edge and no problem there either.

EDIT: After reading about Cablenet, maybe that's the problem.
