Then, download and run Microsoft Safety Scanner Download - Windows security MS safety scanner should remove it. Additionally, I suggest you to create the kaspersky rescue disk on a clean PC. If you want to try the following steps on your PC, they couldn't work later (i.e., the antivirus could be compromised, because the pc could be compromised). The last five points, i.e. the scan, should be obviously executed on your PC: Get an empty USB drive, at least 1GB in size. Download rufus: https://github.com/pbatard/rufus/releases/download/v3.13/rufus-3.13p.exe. Download Kaspersky rescue disk (krd.iso): https://rescuedisk.s.kaspersky-labs.com/updatable/2018/krd.iso. Open rufus. Select the USB drive. Click Select and find the Kaspersky Rescue Disk image (krd.iso). Select the MBR partition scheme and BIOS or UEFI target system. Select the FAT32 file system. Click Start. It will ask you to download grub-2.02\core.img: let it download that file. Select Write in ISO Image mode (Recommended) and click Ok. It will warn you: "WARNING: ALL DATA ON DEVICE 'USB DISK (H:) [x.xGB]' WILL BE DESTROYED." Click Ok. It completed in 5-6 minutes, on my PC. You now have the kaspersky rescue disk available on your USB drive. Reboot and choose the USB drive from the boot menu: Get access to BIOS settings & Boot Menu: F-keys/Hotkeys by System Manufacturer (OEM). Kaspersky rescue disk should start. Open Kaspersky and update the definitions. Start a full scan (it could take hours). Report its results here, then remove the malicious files it could have found. Last edited: Jan 5, 2021
