I did what you said with no issues. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to help me... Seriously this is such a horrible issue. Anyways, the drivers are installed. What is the next step from here? Click to expand... So, do you still have issues after the driver was upgraded? If so, please generate a new XPERF trace, but make sure that you are experiencing audio glitches at that time.

Also to check for bios updates but my bios is flashed with the newest version.... It is telling me there is a 2804 latency but I don't see ataport.sys at all now...

I don't see anything going insanely high in LatencyMon, but before ataport.sys was constantly going to 3k plus..... Now I just have to figure out what is going to 2804......

Should I take my sound card out of my machine, or just bypass the mixamp? I tried unplugging the mixamp completely and I still had major latency issues in Latencymon.

Please remove LatencyMon and stop using as the basis. We are only curious whether you experience issues (audio, slowness, crashes) with your computer or not and, if so, we look into XPERF traces.

I am still noticing a bit of latency with my video card... which is odd because it is a work horse of a card.... I will stop using Latencymon. From what I read online it works well so I downloaded it.

I have read 20 different forums and nobody seems to have a real answer.... Click to expand... Yeah, Dissolution nailed out. How come everyone can recognize a driver or something else causing an error, like ataport.sys, but noone has a way to fix or repair it. If I figure something out to help someone else, I always post the solution....hmm, psongman
