I am having update problems, and have tried all sorts of suggestions to no avail. Then I happened to come across this site, and found a goldmine of enthusiastic experts! I hope someone can help me out.

I am running Windows Version 1803 (OS Build 17133.73)
Specs.PNG
Automatic updates no longer install on the computer, and a number of updates are listed as queued but always fail.
After attempting to update, I get the following message:
There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024a105)
I have also been seeing ERROR 0x800703f1
Update list2.PNG

Some peripheral devices have stopped working, and driver updates no longer complete. When I try to update drivers, the result is:
Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while trying to install them - The configuration registry database is corrupt OR the system cannot find the file specified

I have cleared the Software Distribution file, and other tricks that I have read about in support forums.
I have tried to refresh the OS in a number of ways, but always fail.

I have now followed the fault isolation process on :https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/4736-windows-update-forum-posting-instructions.html

sfc /scannow - Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - stopped at 11%, error 4448 The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's resource table
C:\windows\logs\DISM\dism.log

I ran: SFCFix.exe - the program ran far longer than expected, and stopped at DISM, 11%, making no further progress. I eventually terminated after approx 2 hours.

I have tried to attach the CBS.zip file here, and hope I have done it in the right way.
As I say, I am stumped, and can't get any further, so now I hope there is someone here who can help me make some progress.
Thanks,
Jeff

Update failed again: CBSlog attached here:

Am running Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it has got as far as 99.9%, but doesn't seem to want to finish.

It found and fixed all errors. Please try updating now.

Sorry, but it still didn't work, even after a re-start. It gives a list of pending updates, and then just finished without updating anything. I also tried updating missing drivers, and got the message that "The configuration registry database is corrupt"

2. Accept the License Agreement
3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.
