The "players" or traders deal a lot with Options such as Puts and Calls and other cool-sounding jargon. The Investors (IMO) would be someone who invests in a portfolio as part of an investment package and leaves it alone.

Those who try to time the market are gamblers, pure and simple.

Dollar cost averaging and buying and holding, with occasional strategic rebalancing of a portfolio, has always produced a decent return over long periods of time.

Exactly my point. The hypocrites that do the financial reporting on radio and TV consistently misuse the term Investors. This leaves the uninitiated feeling that you and I are causing the market to fluctuate the way it does, when it's really the insiders.
