Okay so...I should probably state that I first posted this issue on Malwarebytes forums. They were kind enough to go through the whole diaganosing process and attempted several fixes. Each one though sad to say, seemed to (correct?) but at the same time make my experience even worse in the long run.

I could originally boot into the main Regular Windows 10 and now I can't even do that. If I attempt to boot into Regular Windows 10 it will just get to the Windows 10 logo with the spinning wheel and crash. I ONLY can go to safe mode currently. That is one of the major issues I guess?

Secondly, they had attempted to get me to update my Windows 10 to 1903 (from 1803) and sadly I have just ran into stumbling blocks at every corner! The Media creation tool has not worked, the troubleshooter didn't work from the microsoft site, and etc. From what I can gather there are "window components that need repairing" according to the troubleshooter.

Here is the Malwarebytes forum thread for any backstory/reading of the issue:

Windows 10 + Malwarebytes recent update

OKAY so the long introduction is now complete (I hope) so let me get down to business with you guys and gals and try to get this resolved! So from me following the steps you require in the pinned topic here are the results, logs, etc. It should be noted that there were zero infections found on my machine at Malwarebytes forums.

Remember that all steps done below are in safe mode for the reasons stated above!

Code:
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I got this same message last time I attempted a sfc scan so I went to the next step

Here are the results of SURT/DISM Scan:

Code:
C:\Users\Allison>Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.17134.1

Image Version: 10.0.17134.915

[===========================83.9%================          ]
Error: 1084

This service cannot be started in Safe Mode

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

So...because it can't finish that step I went to the next step: Here is the results/text of what happens

Code:
Checking for updates . . .
No new update is available at this time.

Checking store directories . . .
Checking CBS.log . . .
Checking CheckSUR.log . . .
Checking CheckSUR.persist.log . . .

Stage 3

Due to the nature of your corruptions, scan times have been extended by
approximately 15-20 minutes. Please be patient and allow the operation to
complete.

No corruptions have been detected on this computer. Whilst this is a good thing,be aware that not all types of corruption can be detected by this tool.
Therefore, if you are currently experiencing continued problems with your
computer it is likely that you are going to need the assistance of a human
analyst in order to find and fix them.

If your problems persist, and you are currently being instructed by a helper,
you should let them know about this development by sending them the logfile
which will soon be generated and opened so that they can perform a manual fix.

If you are not currently being instructed by a helper but still need assistance, you should seek free advice from your favourite forum or sysnative.com. Create anew thread and provide this logfile in the first post of that thread along with
a complete description of the problems you were experiencing which led you to
run this tool.

Here is the SFCFix log file. I believe the instructions just said post it in the topic sao here it is in code format.

I went to the next step as requested: Attached you will find the CBS zipped file.

I am not sure if this is relative but I noticed this today (guess I just never put two and two together ) not even sure if this means it is different build or not. The System -> About - > Build Version: says 1803 but the safemode build says this...see image below

Attached as well (in a Google Drive link) is my components file zipped.

Bumping this from page 2

Any relative assistance would be nice. About 100 hours since last I checked.

Hello,

I am actually wondering if there is more going on here then seen in the eye... I have an old Windows 8 CD and attempted to make a new partition and install Windows 8. It would begin the installation and kept black screening at getting devices ready.

Could this be relative symptom?

I also managed to use a friends computer to burn a bootable Window 10 DVD. Upon attempting to use the disk I noticed I could install Windows fine but my taskbar was grey and such like it was using a default driver or something. Shortly after installing my NETGEAR wifi adapter driver and got connected to the internet I then ran into the problem of the screen black screening after a few minutes ( possibly Window updates and/or it updating a driver passively? ) The computer restarted on it's own shortly after this black screening and after that once again I was unable to enter regular windows and could only go to safe mode.

I am on vacation until Monday, so I can't really inspect the logs or anything like that, but I van recommend that you try and detach everything that is non-essential (peripheral) and disconnect the computer from the network and then retry the installation of Windows. I would recommend you opt form the latest version (10 1903).

Totally understandable no worries! I was just trying to troubleshoot further stuff while waiting. (I try to be somewhat independent t but also recognize when I am over my head ha)

I have a slightly older machine that has Windows XP. I swapped graphic cards out with it and installed my Radeon 7850 (that was in the messed up machine) and it began to have the same issue immediately. So now I am wondering if it is a graphic card hardware issue or the graphic card driver(s)

I am so confused at this point but I will of course studiously await your opinions.

Sadly I do not. From what research I have done though on the topic itself it appears a faulty graphics card can indeed result in the inability to log into regular windows and can cause random crashing to occur.

This is just me thinking out loud of course but considering the display shows until the screen goes black or the machine restarts I can only assume the actual port/and the soldered attached port on the graphics card works but either the copper is not making good contact to keep a continuous stream of power or there is something mechanically wrong or even possibly something in the cards programming has gone awry.

Which in all honesty is kind of depressing considering if this is truly the problem then there lies the meaning of me having to go buy another graphics card. But in all fairness, I have had the Radeon 7850 for a good 7-8 years so it has served me well considering the amount of the years of service.

This topic can be "closed" now I think. I have reset my machine since removing the damaged card and everything seems to be working fine since now. It would had been an interesting thing though to figure out the basics on correcting the Windows Update issue itself (if that was a separate issue?) As a teacher, I always do enjoy learning something new ha.

Oh and before I forget/are unable to I want to thank everyone on here for being patient and willing to help. :)
