Kindly requested assistance to help me out some issues after removing Free Avast.

Before removing Free Avast I had never any problems noted from SFC after scanning the Registry.
Now I have a Manifest challenge of a certain Avast file.

After searching the Internet I came to this site.
I followed the Instructions and after running the ComponentScanner it reported that there was also something wrong with SimConnect.
SimConnect is needed by MS Flight Simulator X (FSX) - FYI there 3 different Simconnect.DLL's in use.

FSX for me is just working fine, so I don't understand what is wrong with the program.
A sollution could be by re-intalling FSX, maybe that solves the problem - but the message about an Avast Manifest part remains.

Kindly request to the Sysnative Dream Team for a Script file to solve the Registry issues (as result a clean "SFC /scannow" )

FYI: the before attached CBS.log and ComponentScanner are not valid anymore.
However the challenge (=problem) still persist . .

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

How did you uninstall avast, with the official removal tool (Avast Clear) or an third party tool?

Download the
577bf0efb8088-FRST.png
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link

  • Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  • Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  • Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Maxstar, Thank You for your attention,

The problems started with the removal of Avast Free.
I uninstalled Safe Mode from the PC. For the removal I used the REVO the porstable version.
Normally I've never had any problems with REVO and I've been using it for years. (normaly proven that it is reliable)
After a SFC scan showed me that there are problems with the Registry.
After the scan I used AvastClean from the Avast site. (again in Safe Mode) but SFC gives me still an error.

What the problems are with SimConnect are not clear to me because FlightSimulator X has been on my computer for more than 10 years. (SimConnect is part of this)
In itself I don't have much problems with this because I can remove everything that is SimConnect from the disk and also from the Registry.
Yet I didn't remove SimConnect because I wanted to wait for the reaction of SFCFix Dream Team first.
It could happen that if I reinstall SimConnect the problem still occurs.

My huge thanks to you (your Team) for all the effort

Sinscere Regards -JW-

FYI: running Windows 10 (x64) NL (Dutch version)

Hi,

Personally, I would not recommend to remove a security (antivirus) program with REVO, even though REVO uses the own uninstaller first.
There's a lot to clean-up, but have you set the following proxy server yourself?

Rich (BB code):
ProxyServer: [S-1-5-21-2098496781-344336615-4169737998-1001] => 185.14.160.26:7890

Hi,

No, I don't have to do anything.
I even don't know how to do it??

What I use is a certain type of airplane (Boeing or Airbus) in the simulator.
On a android tablet I use a APK. program simulating the board computer of that particular aircraft.
For some reason (don't ask me how) the tablet and my computer communicate with each other by LAN. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seems the ProxyServer is used by a Roblox/Bot! And perhaps it is just a remnant of this game?

Download the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link

Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.

  • Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  • Press the Fix button.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
  • When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Hi,

FYI I am a retired Offshore Platform Manager, 70+ years and for that I'm not realy interested in a game named Roblox.
I had to Google to find out what Roblox is . .

I've had a small peek at the LOG file - I hope you can do something with it because it is written in Dutch.

Hi,

I'am from the Netherlands, so the Dutch log file is no problem at all..

Please run ComponentsScanner again to see if there are any remaining issues.

Run

ComponentsScanner again.
  • Right-click ComponentsScanner.exe and select "Run as administrator", click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Post the logfile ComponentsScanner.txt as attachment into your next reply.

Hi.

I realize that there is a time difference of 7 hours with the States (depends) and Europe.

Hi,

FYI - I only follow you and do what is asked.

Again: So if you ask me to remove SimConnect I am more than willing to do that.
For me it is possible to do a reinstall of that.

Hi,

There's no need to reinstall SimConnect when everything is working fine, I think those entry's are just false positives, and I'm not sure if reinstalling SimConnect will resolve this issue. But you can always try to reinstall both versions to see what happens if it possible to do that..

Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.60905.0
Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61242.0

Hi,

and NOW I noticed your Avatar - You are IN the Netherlands !

Can I run SFC now? with out any issues?
Otherwise I am done with SimConnect.

-JW-

Yes, I am still living in the Netherlands, so that explains the time gap!

Please run SFC /Scannow and let me know the result, the issues with the components of Avast should be fixed now.

Hi, Ouch, you're right; My Bad (I probably have to go for new glasses …ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷ )

Any how, you did a really great job, my friend!
I ran SFC and everything is clean as a whistle - I couldn't be more happier than that.

I still don't know exactly what you did, because it looks all like magic to me.

Many, many thanks, Maxstar. (when we meet I owe you)

sinscerely regards, -JW-

You're welcome. Glad to hear SFC ran without any issues. It seems this problem with remnants of Avast (AVG) is a common problem for years. I suspect the official removal tool will only remove the system files, but not the associated registry keys, I've now done that "manually" with FRST.

The latest CBS log looks good, so if there are no remaining issues we can mark this thread as solved.
